{"id":818,"date":"2023-10-10T22:28:34","date_gmt":"2023-10-11T04:28:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/corvusmty.com\/?p=818"},"modified":"2024-09-09T13:24:00","modified_gmt":"2024-09-09T19:24:00","slug":"epc-to-huasteca","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/corvusmty.com\/en\/rocktrip\/epc-to-huasteca\/","title":{"rendered":"EPC &#8211; Huasteca"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-group has-global-padding is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-fe9cc265 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fixed Route from EPC to Parque La Huasteca<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>If you made it to EPC you might as well take a day to do a round trip to La Huasteca, we can arrange an itinerary with early pick-up, mid-day lunch and late afternoon return trip to Potrero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-fe9cc265 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecrag.com\/en\/climbing\/mexico\/la-huasteca\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.thecrag.com\/en\/climbing\/mexico\/la-huasteca\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Parque La Huasteca<\/a> is a HUGE climbing area full of crags and hundreds of routes to pick from. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rock Type: Limestone<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most common style: dancing on dead vertical slab<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Same rock type as potrero but very different feel, the rock formations for the holds are what we call &#8220;regletas&#8221; (edges, tiny ledges). The side-pulls are usually 90 degree rotated regletas. As for moving from one crag to the other, distances are further apart from what you see in Potrero with a few exceptions. Climbers from Monterrey usually drive from one to the next, a bike can help you for some of the crags that can be reached using the main road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Most visited crags:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>La Extremita (Sweet Fun)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Zona Extrema (Fun)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>M\u00e9dicos (Super Fun, mostly winter climbing)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Hidden jewels:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Guitarritas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>El Carac\u00f3l<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>  <\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Fixed Route from EPC to Parque La Huasteca If you made it to EPC you might as well take a day to do a round trip to La Huasteca, we can arrange an itinerary with early pick-up, mid-day lunch and late afternoon return trip to Potrero.
